University Students’ Protest Turns Bloody, 2 Killed Many Injured

Students of Federal University Oye Ekiti, on Tuesday staged a peaceful protest against the epilepsy power supply at its campuses. However, it turned unruly as students were seen burning a NEPA office and destroying properties such as computers.

The Police were called in to mobilize the students but it turned bloody as it was reported that gun shots were fired.

It’s gathered that two students are killed, others injured.

In retaliation, the students set the Police van on fire and beat up one of the officers seen shooting. Some students were arrested.

  1. The students were very wrong burning NEPA office and destroying because it worsens their situation but one need to point out our policemen need proper orientation on how to deal with protesters especially unarmed ones.
